School Improvement Council (SIC)

The School Improvement Council (SIC) at Hursey Montessori plays an important role in strengthening the connection between our school, families, and community. SICs are mandated advisory councils in South Carolina designed to bring together parents, teachers, students, and community members to collaborate on school improvement efforts.

Our SIC works to:

  • Support the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan

  • Review school data and identify opportunities for growth

  • Provide feedback on school initiatives and goals

  • Encourage family and community engagement

  • Celebrate the successes and progress of our school community

SIC is not a PTO or fundraising group — it is an advisory team that helps shape the direction and priorities of our school.
